JODRELL BANK - This collection of radio telescopes is usually visible for miles. The largest of the telescopes, Lovell, is the third largest steerable radio telescope in the world so it makes the perfect VRP!
Immediately to the north runs the Crewe to Manchester railway line. There are also a number of meres which lie towards the north and northeast of Jodrell Bank.
To the east is farmland which is also home to a small collection of meres and pools as well as a small quarry.
To the west are the villages of Goostrey and Allostock, the latter of which is home to a water park and numerous ponds. Further to the west of this runs the M6 motorway.
To the south are a number of farms and associated farmlands. There is also a small industrial complex which has a small number of warehouses.
